Please Stop Biting Me, Stupid Mutts!

Submitted by TiM on

So I've pedalled my way out to the SPCA today for another fun packed day of walking, feeding, getting bititen by and generally helping out Auckland's lost/stray/unwanted Ubus. Stupid mutts! You'd think they could show there appreciating by not throwing up on you and biting you. I got bitten a total of 5 or 6 times today. None were serious, and I don't think I've manged to contract rabies or anything. The poor dogs just get frightened by all the other dogs sometimes, and they react by snapping at anything in their path. Unfortunatly I was the "anything" a number of times.

So, like I said, I pedalled my way out there. Well, I rode to the train station, caught the train, and rode from there to the SPCA. I finally did it yesterday, I brought a BMX. This caused a fair amount of amusement from my workmates, not the least of which is the fact the bike is called the "G-Spot". It's actually called a "5-Spot" but it's painted on looking like a G, and it's too late now, it's name is set in stone. So I'm riding around on a G-Spot. Cool or what!!

I'm pretty happy with my new bike anyway. It's got those peg things that stick out from the wheels for doing tricks and everything. Of course I'm going to be doing lots of tricks. Oh yea. I can't think of anything sadder than a 24yo trying to do learn tricks on a BMX. Well, I can, but that's another story.

It's a hell of a lot quicker to ride around though, stuff walking. I've just got to find somewhere to put it work during the day. I brought a bigarse padlock thingy for it, but I'd still prefer to have somewhere safe to put it so it doesn't get nicked.

Nothing planned tomorrow. I've pretty much done everything I've had planned over the last few weeks, so I think I'll just sleep in and bludge the day away.
