Rage against work!
Well it's been an interesting few days at work the last few days. Lots of stuff has happened, some good, some bad. I don't think it's quite time to look for another job, but then again it never hurts to polish the old resume.
Everyone be sure to wish dliggins@postoffice.utas.edu.au Denny Liggins a Happy Birthday for today (Wednesday).
Like I was saying, work has been really interesting in the past few days. One of our senior network people decided to resign. I'm not about the rest of the troops, but I have to say it's a bit worrying when one of our sections smartest people decides it's time to move on. It certainly makes you wonder just how many other people in the company are looking to do the same thing. Maybe moving to New Zealand was a bad move!!! (It wasn't)
At least we've finally decided which vendor we're going to use for our sexy new core network. The decision has been delayed and delayed, but finally we have an answer. I don't think I should post it here, because I don't think it's actually been annouced publically. So I should probably keep my mouth shut. I think I safey say that it isn't a Certain sucky company solution.
I got told off by the building manager last night for having my music too loud!! I protested, saying it was mearly 1:30am. He didn't seem to keen on my idea of turning it up a bit louder, instead he asked me to please shut my window so people could get some sleep. Doesn't anyone like Pantera anymore??
Still no news on the moving out situation. I haven't followed up any of the people who said I could move in. I'm in no rush to move out, and I might as well wait until I found a place I really like, instead of a place that I'll want to move out again in another 6 months. There is always this weekends paper to hunt out new places!
It's only 8:45pm, but I'm going to crawl into bed and catch up on some sleep!
