Happy Birthday to my lovely wife for yesterday! We had a regular morning, the kids made some birthday cards for Sarah and took them up to her. There was a bit of a miscommunication between Beth and Theo: I drew Theo holding Big Bae on his card for him, then Beth helped and drew some hair on the Theo character. I left the room for 5 minutes only to come back into the lounge to Theo SCREAMING because Beth was trying to draw on his head with pencil. After everyone had calmed down we got to the root cause, Theo had asked for his hair to be coloured in, so Beth had complied. The problem being that Theo meant for his hair on the drawing to be coloured in, while Beth didn't realise this and was trying to colour in his actual scalp with pencil. Which of course hurt thus tears. Anyway, we got that sorted in the end.
Took Theo up to the Dr because he's had a really nasty cough the last few days that hasn't gone away. Dr gave him some antibiotics, hopefully they sort him out. It's a really nasty, persistent cough and when he starts coughing he doesn't seem to stop for 10 minutes, poor fella.
Once home from work Holly, Age, Joseph and Isla came over for Sarah's birthday dinner. We had curry for our (adult) dinner and then Guiness Cake as is tradition for dessert. Once they left it was present time, this year I got Sarah a Salt Lamp and a game The Chameleon, both things off her "things I'd like" list. I also got her a Kombucha making kit too, not 100% sure if she'd love it or hate it. But she did love it, so that was good.
This morning it was the Elton John presale! I loaded up 5 different browser windows and got into the queue, one at 419 and one at 486. My 3 other windows were very high numbers, but I kept them open. After 10 minutes I got in! And got kicked out and let back in and kicked out and then told my Queue Number was invalid fail fail. ARGH!!!!! So annoyed! Same happened for my second queue position. So gutted, I was moved to position 23,000 or so in the queue. At least I had my other two, so I kept those open. After 45 minutes it turns out that Jen of Jen and Cheese fame had scored some for us, so all good there. And after I heard she got in, one of my other 3 still open loaded up and I could have bought 10 more GA tickets. But I didn't, I didn't need them and someone else will want them! So we are locked in for Elton John, I think we have Gold Glass tickets too which means it's seated so we don't have to sprint to get a good seat. Yah. It's still a year away, but something to look forward to.
That's the end!
Tim
