Hi people!!
Wednesday night Sarah and I drove down to Devonport to get a bite for dinner, we went to the local Fish N Chip shop and ordered. I got a superburger and it was damn super! Huge massive thing. While we were in the store I spied a flyer for A Clockwork Orange being performed at a local Auckland Theatre. I thought it might be cool to go so I asked Sarah if she'd be interested.
Then yesterday Sarah emailed me and said she'd managed to score free tickets to the dress rehersal. Cool!
So that's what we did last night, went to the theatre. It was so hot and muggy in the room, but apart from that it was a great performance. The first 10 minutes were quite hard to watch I thought, seeming to make little sense. But after that I really got into it, it was a great retelling of the story if a little strange. People swimming in vomit on the floor and other quite surreal bits.
As I mentioned above, it's been really hot here in Auckland ever since I got back. Not so much hot as it is humid, really hard to sleep at night unless you have a fan going. Thankfully work is all nice and airconditioned.
Work has been totally flat out this week, as expected. It's not helped by the fact a few people are away at the annual NZNOG conference. NZNOG is the "New Zealand Network Operators Group", people such as myself are members (basically it's just an email list)
I never go though, I'm just not THAT excited about networks.
While I was away Sarah has super trained Oscar. He's now super friendly and almost clammors to get out of his cage when you stick your hand in.
I'm going out tonight with Gary (old flatmate) for a few beers. I've only seem him about 3 times in the last year, the last time was to meet the new baby. Be interesting to see how he's getting on.
That's all, back to work.
