Friday Finally

Friday is finally here, woohoo! It's been a good week, things are worked out pretty well so I go into work in the morning and then head home about lunchtime to make sure Sarah's doing alright. Now she has her shiny new Pink cast on she should be a bit more mobile, it's lightweight compared to the old one and she's allowed to put half her weight on it for the first two weeks then all her weight on it for the last two.

EDIT: Sarah found this gem this morning. This is how I feel explaining things to people sometimes.

It'll come off just in time for Christmas! It was pretty impressive when the big cast come off yesterday, the scars were quite impressive and the swelling was, well, it looked like she'd been bitten by a puff adder. The surgeon said it was healing well and Sarah's not in much pain at all so the road to recovery is looking good!

Tui hasn't found anymore presents for Sarah, I hope it stays that way! The bird she nabbed the other day was huge!

Our vegetable garden out the back is really starting to take off. We've got: Tomatoes, Carrots, Spinach, Chillies, Pumpkin, Broccoli, Basil, Rosmary and Rocket.
The Broc got attacked by little catapillars before I'd really noticed so they took a bit of a beating. Once sprayed down with some insecticide though they soon snuffed it (sorry little fellas!) And the Broc has recovered nicely and is growing well. The spiniach has already provided for a couple of meals and the rate at which it's growing means it'll keep providing nicely!
It's really nice to stand out there watering the garden and thinking "Yea! This is OUR garden, going to fed US!", as Tui runs along the fence back and forth being mental.

So Friday finally! Seems like it's been a really look week. Looking forward to Christmas, not far away now!
