Lunch Time

Submitted by TiM on

Flying down here on Sunday was a lot of fun. When we finally got to fly that is. Sunday afternoon there was thunder and huge flashes of lightening. When it'd flash the *boom* would shake the house so badly, it was like the bass kick you get at a rock concert. Due to the fantastic weather I got to sit around in Auckland airport for 2 hours while 100 people jammed into a terminal designed for about 50 max. It was lots of fun as you can imagine.

Once I made it to Wellington I got to check into my room, my new home for the next 3 months. It's nice enough, but the deathly stink it has isn't so hot. It smells like when you wash your clothes, then accidently leave them in the washing machine for 5 days. Maybe that doesn't happen to you as often as it does me, but basically it smells like wet dog with a hint of mould. I mentioned this to the front desk yesterday and they tried to blame it on Indian people who'd just moved out of the apartment next to mine. I don't really care who's fault it is, I just want a non-stinky room. To be continued...

Apart from that, nothing else is exicting or interesting. Wellington has been wet and boring, work hasn't got anymore exciting. I miss Sarah. I miss my coffee machine. I think I will start writing Haiku's instead of stories, they'll be more interesting.

Here's one I stole from somewhere else:

The moment two bubbles
are united, they both vanish.
A lotus blooms.

Fear the blooming lotus!

Darlings, thank you for feeling guilty and sending me the beautiful honeycomb and natty little wooden knife....and running Pukeko's birthday card, I am blessed. The parcel was opened by quarantine, but fortunately no one there liked honey so it was sent on to me ... lucky eh! Nan Milburn sends her love, I am trying to keep her away from the honey - a sticky situation. LOL Mother XXXX

I hope you enjoy it and that it gives you a buzz!
