Hello lovely reader(s), how are you today?
Not much too exciting happening here in Auckland, I made Sushi tonight but it didn't really turn out very well, mostly due to lack of decent preparation. You need to get too many little "bits" to put in the sushi and when all's said and done that's just too much effort. It's not that it was terrible it just wasn't very good. Nor was the Miso soup either, I served it up too cold.
I think I'll stick to letting the experts make sushi.
But when it comes to coffee, I'm the man! There's a specialist coffee roaster just up the road from me so I went there for a visit at lunchtime. She gave me some ground coffee and some coffee beans. They smell so lovely and strong that they're currently stinking up the pantry.
Speaking of flash toys that are fun to play with, Sarah got herself a brand new digital SLR camera today. It also came with a nice camera bag and for a while there I wasn't sure why she'd bought the camera because she seemed more interested in the bag! It's an amazing camera though, like my film SLR except it's digital and it's got more cooler buttons and flashing lights. I'm very jealous. She also got this cool thing so you can just take the memory card out of the camera, plug it into this box which plugs into her iPod and all the photos copy from the iPod to the camera! Put your hand up if you're still awake!
No doubt you'll see her skills with the new camera appear on her Flickr account very soon.
I'm flying down to Wellington tomorrow for a job interview. It's more of a company interview really, myself and a new Prophecy member (who also used to work with me at TelstraClear so he's already an old workmate) are going to be interviewed for a couple of roles for a company. It sounds like a very interesting opportunity, the major problem with it being that if we do land it I'll probably have to spend my weekdays down in Wellington, flying home at the weekend. We'll wait and see before I get too worried about that though.
It'll be a good chance to test out my new super amazing noise-cancelling headphones that I got for my birthday (thanks Dad) on the plane. I can escape into a little world of music and happy thoughts... Or at least attempt to. My flight isn't until 10am which I'm happy for. I hate getting on the early morning flight with all the "I'm so important" business men on it. I could wear a sharp suit and act like the world would stop if I wasn't first of the plane if I wanted to.
I don't know if to feel sorry for the Crocodile man or be glad. On one hand, it's terrible what's happened to him and how it'll affect his family. On the other hand, I thought he was a complete wanker. I will admit I'm pretty amazed at how popular he was overseas though, as I think were most Aussies.
I think I better go wash up and find my flash clothes for tomorrow!

he loved the environment, he
he loved the environment, he loved the family, he loved the animals, and the world loved him. and of course we're all sad when when children lose their father and someone loses their partner.
but i agree. complete wanker. he could not leave the animals alone. they did not share his love. i always said that though, this is not a germaine geer revelation. the stingray stung him because it felt threatened. his manager even said he always got too close to the animals.
also, if you put yourself out there to be famous, if your earn unimaginable money from it, you have to take the good with the bad.
