We've back from our little trip to Tasmania. We got home about 3am I think, after getting our bags we got a shuttle. It drove us all over Auckland before dropping us off home finally. When we got home Sarah gave me my final present, an espresso machine! A proper 15 bar pump one. It makes the best flat whites, though I'm still not very good at it. I'll be doing a lot more practising though.
The last few days in Tassie were really good. We went down to Rob and Denny's on Thursday night. It's amazing how much their two boys Miley and Toby have grown up since I last saw them. Miley is running around and asking questions, Toby was totally excited when we gave him a little present and ran around the house screaming "Cars Cars Cars!" at the top of his voice. Very cute.
Wednesday afternoon we drove up to Burnie to see Nan Milburn, Auntie Lyn & Bruno, Uncle Shane, Lucas and Auntie Leanne and Paul. There was a bit of a drama when we all arrived at the resturant to realise that no one had picked up Nan Milburn! Auntie Lyn had dropped in but thought she wasn't there. She was, but poor old Nan's a little deaf these days and very hard of hearing.
We had a great time in Burnie. Now that I've lived in Auckland for a while you realise just what a small place it really is. At the resturant Auntie Lyn started to talk about a cow of hers that had just been born. The lady at the next table came over after overhearing her talking about it and the two of them chatted away for a few minutes. About cows.
Friday we caught up with my mate Chris. Great to see you again mate and I hope the new job happens for you soon!
I'm sorry I didn't get to see a few people, Phill (old workmate) especially. It just got all too much in the end, we'd done too much running around to see everyone so the last two days (well, day and a half) we just took it easy.
Overall though, it was a great trip back. EVeryone is well, I had a the best birthday party with a bunch of great people and it was heaps of fun. Thanks everyone for making it such a great time for us!

Darling, so good to know that you arrived home safely and that Tassie was so much fun. Shame we missed the coffee machine, still you will be well practiced at making them when we return. We have had a great time in New York. It has been a fantastic experience, and a great adventure exploring the city with Elisa as our guide. We are leaving at 6.00p.m. for London, then a flight to Manchester where we pick up a car and do our yorkshire bit.....stand by for the next old cronies posting. We are only up to New Zealand....a little behind eh!! Fondest love to you both...Mother and Bill...XXXXXXXXXXXX

Great to hear you're having such a good time. Thanks for leaving the house so lovely!
I didn't think you'd even bother updating your blog, but now that I know you are I'll keep an eye on it.
