Good morning everyone! Just back from my lovely walk, this morning I had the joy of being rained on! Just made it more fun than it usually is though.
We went to Briscoes (home-ware shop) yesterday to get a new doona cover set thing. I seem to have issues because we never got the doona cover but I still managed to come away with $150 odd worth of stuff. Everyone needs electric scales! Plus I got a new milk frother after the last one was accidentally cut down in its prime.
Saturday we didn't really do much, I went to the barber in the morning and got a "proper" haircut. The barber was a nice guy but obviously a big supporter of ticket scalping. I was telling him how I'd managed to buy some Rolling Stones tickets on Friday for Sarah's dad and how unfair it is people do the same thing and sell them. He started going on about how everyone has a right to do whatever with their tickets etc. He's right, of course, but I still think people that buy tickets just to resell them need a punch in the face.
Saturday night we went to Kelly and Bonita's flatwarming. We had a good time there, I manned the BBQ and cooked up a storm, apart from the meat that I'd bought for us, which tasted like weird bacon. Bacon flavoured cow, not good! It would have been a hit in Saudi Arabia though. After a while SingStar was brought out (We'd taken it over at Kelly's request) and we all had a good time singing at the Television, including those people who'd sworn blind they weren't going to sing.
Yesterday as well as our little Briscoe's shopping spree we finished off the Census form delivery. Now all that remains is to pick them all up again! I also did a little bit of tending to my makeshift garden out the back, re potting the spinach. I thought they were going to die because they shrivelled up after I moved them but I've just checked them this morning and they seem to have recovered.
Happy Monday!
Tim
