For some reason today at lunch time a little man wheeled in about 20 cartons of beer and put them in the fridge. This is a good thing. Heaps of people have come through the building today, it turns out we're having a "open day" thingy, where people are walking through Penrose and seeing what a hell hole it is. Whoops, I mean a modern high tech place. And it is high tech from an equipment point of view. But from a people point of view its Hell with Fluroesencent lighting.
Well the magic has gone people. I brought a bootload of firecrackers last night, and after I'd let a few off I suddenly realised it's not actually all that exciting, and I'm not 15 anymore!
Still I went up 3 kings and let a few more off, there were some other people up there doing the same so I just hungout with them for bit.
Anyway, gotta go, it's Summer Hockey tonight, can't be late for that!

I have brought myself a seriously demented amount of fireworks just now. Can't wait till it gets dark. I'm probably not supposed to let them off in my apartment, so I'm gonna go up the Three Kings mountain and let them off there for the whole world to see. Not sure if I'm allowed to let them off up there either, but It's ok, I'll ride my BMX up there and if the coppers come I'll run away. Did I mention I'm 25? :-)

Well everything seemed to be going so fine and dandy last night, I got into work about 10pm and did all the preperation stuff that needed to be done. Come 1am I started all the upgrades and everything was going well. By about 2:30 all the hard work had been done (so I thought) and I was having a quiet celebrationaly beer and doing the last little bits when *whack*.

I leapt into a cab and went into Auckland (I was at Penrose) After many hours of stuffing around and doing stuff I got everything working again, and managed to get myself home and to bed at about 7am.
What a morning! Next time someone asks me to do a late night shift, I'm saying no!
I got up at 2:30 and now my body is all confused about what time it really is.
It's firecracker night tomorrow night...
Just got back from a cool night out with a friend of mine. We went out to one of the funky little cafe/bars down on the Auckland waterfront and had a bite to eat. I had what has to be the worlds tastiest steak. It was so nice. It was the perfect way to top off the day, which consisted mostly of rain and me going to the SPCA...
When I woke up this morning, guess what? Yes, it was raining. I'm not even going to bother going into my "fucking Saturday, fucking rain" rant, because I know you've all heard it a million times by now.
I managed at least to crawl out of bed by 9am, which for me on a Saturday is pretty damn good. And boy, was it pissing with rain. It was so bad that my sky went off the air, and the lights were...
I know Pizza isn't really good for me, but it's Friday and I really don't give a rats arse about stuff being good for me, I'm hungry, damnit. The PizzaHut in Auckland are totally useless though, it took about 5 minutes on the phone to order my pizza. It seems whenever I read out my address to them some little light must flash on the screen and say "extend call for 5 minutes" cause it seems to happen all the time.
I was going to go to a Halloween party tonight, but I went out last night and had a few (read many) beers with some guys from work. Somehow I feel a lot better when I wake up hungover but know that someone else paid for all the drinks. All bow to the power that is the Amex Card of joy. I'm not sure how he's going to explain...
First night of Summer Hockey tonight and hell it was so much fun! The rules are fairly different to normal hockey, you get 3 points for a normal goal and only a point if you get it in from outside the circle. Those who don't play hockey will probably have no idea what I'm talking about so I'll shut up. Looks like it's going to be a great seaon though, we alsoget to play mixed hockey :-)
All my bike riding and getting up early and exercise and stuff has been paying off, I was able to pretty much run around flat out for the whole game (admittedly only two twenty minute halfs) and not get very puffed out.
Major major drama tonight. I caught the bus home from Penrose, walked the 15 minutes from the Bus stop to the front door happy as... Went to open the door then...
Well yes it's offical, Penrose totally sucks. It's a horrible tiny little cramped cube farm, overun with muppets and morons. All the sales muppets leave their mobile phones on their desks then run off, so we have a mass of wanky little ring tones going all the time. The urge to strangle people has never been so great as it has been today! Feel free to look at this living hell for yourself.
I think I'll be doing a lot of "hot desking" and going into Queen St, there are two desks set aside for us there (so I'm told)
I just do 1 or 2 days a week out here, the rest of them in at Queen St. Much better.
Anyway, just thought I'd fill you all in on the wonderful day that today has been! It can only get better. I'm going to bring headphones tomorrow so I...
