Arrrrggghhh!! One of those days I swear. I'm still feeling crook from the flu I managed to pickup about Friday afternoon. Easter was spent most of the time snuggled up on the couch with asprins and warm blankets. I'm feeling a lot better today, but still not 100%

The boss has arranged a 1 week traning course for us. Guess when it is. Yup, starts next week. When does my 2 weeks leave start? Next week...

I also managed to get myself a free flight down to ChristChurch for the weekend on work related stuff, but I can't do that either, cause I'd be leaving right when Adam and Chesty rock up. Adam and Chesty, if you're listening, you've ruined everything!!!! hehe. Well maybe not, I'm really looking forward to them getting here so we can kick back, relax and drink water. Reality check!! I mean, kick in, run around...

It shits me when I have stuff planned (like going into town) and it starts to rain. Oh well, not much I can do about it, except moan about it on my diary for all the world to read and go "Jesus Tim, don't you have anything better to do than moan?" Errr, quite.



Spoke to Bianca this morning for ages! I've found some fairly cheap phonecards that actually aren't too bad voice quality wise. Some of them are total shit, we end up saying "huh, what" for most of the conversation. Not with these ones though which is a good thing!

We've been discussing Visa's and stuff for New Zealand, it's a right pain. The govt have to make it as hard as, don't they? She needs 25 points to get a residency Visa, but once she finishes her exams and sits the exam to be a Dr in...

Happy Easter everyone! It's about time for some good news, and having a few days off to sit in the sun, bludge, drink beer, sleep in, listen to music and generally do nothing sounds pretty damn good to me.


I've spent most of today on a training course with Tony. We're looking at some funky new product a local startup has produced, it seems pretty interesting too. If it does what they say it does (and does it ever do it? Nooooooo) then it'll make it a bit easier to sleep at night while their magic box watches over the network. Uh-oh, I'm babbling computer babble again. Time to shutup.

Today is my flatmate Hera's birthday! I think it's the first time I've actually remembered a flatmate's birthday heh. Oh no, I think I remembered Kate's bithday way back when I first got here. I can't remember, it's way to long ago.


Hera and Simon and some friends are going out for tea tonight and I've been invited. Should be a good night out!

Still not sure about the ol' job. I know for sure I'm going to have to be interviewed again, it just depends now on who actually interviews me. Either my current manager will keep his position and he'll be doing the interview, or his counterpart from Clear will be doing the interviews. Either way I'm glad (but kinda sad too) that I don't have bright purple hair anymore. I don't think that would have gone down 100% in the interview. From what I hear the interviews...

I've shaved off all my hair. Yes, the purple/blue/stupid episode is over, I'm back to being a bald nutter once again!

I'm having the best week so far for a whole number of reasons. 1 main one though, and as usual I'm not going to tell you what I'm talking about! I'm a bastard huh?

I've upgraded the photo album program. Now all the photos are arraged better and should load quicker, and you can even post comments on the pictures if you feel so inclined. All the old pictures are there, just moved around and shuffled and stuff. I didn't realise it until I moved it all across during lunch yesterday, but I have over 200 photos in there! Lots of them are joke ones that I've been sent, but lots of them are ones I've taken with the webcam/camera etc. I love photos :)

Anyway, must get back...

Shit, how bad do I feel? It was SPCA yesterday and I totally forgot about it until about 7pm last night. Whoops. I can't believe I forgot about it, I guess with everything else going on this weekend it kinda slipped my mind. I'm glad last week is over, it was kinda sucky for a number of reasons (I'm a dork) but everything is Ok now, I couldn't be happier. Well, apart from the fact that it's 3:30am and I'm in at work doing memory upgrades. Last time I did this it all crashed and burned in a really horrible fashion, at least this time I'm dealing with people who at least have a clue and aren't totally stupid, so things are going a lot better.

I'm still dead tired though! I went to bed at about 10pm and was most distressed when my alarm went off at 2am... I...

One of the reps from Extreme Networks was in town a couple of weeks ago to help us out with some issues we were having. Their products are bright purple, and so are their shirts. He promised to send us a couple, so I did him a favour and sent him this pic back.

I've had a busy week this week workwise. And a stupid week otherwise. And I don't really feel like writing about it on here!!

Still unsure about our jobs. It sucks. Be nice to know one way or the other. We'll find out soon enough I guess.

Hey ppl, how's things?? Autumn is officially starting today at 4.30 pm here in Rio, but the weather hasn't been 'autumny' at all eh!!! Damn, we're having temperatures over 40 C nearly everyday! It would be great if I could spend these sauna-hot sunny as days at the beach, which would be way healthier, but I have to work and study *lol* When I'm at the ICU I peep through the window and see that cloudless sky, it makes me wanna run away hehe :)

Well, apart from the heat, I've had a great week so far! Last Saturday the resident doc at the ICU let me perform a central vein catheterisation all by myself, and I did it! Nothing went wrong surprisingly, the patient is still alive *lol* I was sooo proud :)) I absolutely love this shift, we work hard but...

It's been a long day today! I was up at 4:30am to take KA to the airport, she came up for the weekend for the party, it was good to catch up with her again.

I went back home and was going to go to bed but I'd already wired myself up on coffee so I chatted to Bianca on ICQ for a while, then tried to get some sleep, couldn't, so hauled my lazy butt into work.

That was a bad move.
