Just got up to find an email from one of the guys at ExtremeNetworks. We have a large number of their magical purple switches in our network. When I dyed my hair purple a few months ago I sent them that photo of me with my purple hair. They were really impressed with it, not only was my hair bright purple like their products, but I'm also wearing the purple ExtremeNetworks shirt that they'd given me.

Also, one of the marketing people walked by my cube today (saw the purple hair) and was wondering if he could talk to you about how Extreme and EAPS have been working for your network. It turns out we would be doing a magazine article that will be widely published and you would be a candidate for the Feature.

Hey peoples. Thanks for all your emails/comments and phone calls over the last 2 days. It's been really appreciated.
This post will be the last mention of the whole thing, I've deleted all the photos etc and cleaned my room of all stuff that has anything to do with her. Took my ticket back yesterday too, they don't think I'll be able to get my money back, but they're going to try and see what they can do. The lady at Flightcentre has been really helpful, going out of her way for me, both before and after.
So yea! No more mention of "that person". Time to go back to drinking beer, being a dag and having fun :-)

But fuck it, this time I'm making an exception. As you probably guessed yesterday, I broke up with Bianca yesterday.

I'm not usually a horrible spiteful person, but I think in this case it's justified to post this stuff. Comment below if you disagree. I'd spent $3,000 on a plane ticket (and visa) which I don't think I can get back. Plus sending her a valentines day present which she let me send her even though she was seeing new guy.

So even though I said yesterday I didn't think it was right to post this stuff here, yea. I've thought about it and changed my mind. It's gonna help me feel better, and it'll explain to my darling readers why I've been so grumpy of late.


Reading this should pretty much tell you everything.

Sorry to have been so grumpy of late (and all the fucking swearing too mum, won't happen again. Oops) but I guess I can tell you all that I'm not going to Brazil anymore. Bit of a shock huh?
I'm fine, thanks to all the people who have said kind words to me so far. Thanks boss man for giving me a much needed day off too.

I need to get myself a dog. There were so many cool ones at the SPCA today, especially two that I spent heaps of time with. Little bastards, you get too attached to them too quick. I had the best time out there today anyway, everyone gave me shit for being so slack.

Shit like that. I really need to get out there more often. I can't make it next month either. Oh well. Shit happens.

I hate not being able to sleep. It's like a new thing for me, never really had it before until these last 2 weeks. I don't really mind that much tonight though, tomorrow is a Saturday and I don't have anything planned except going to SPCA, then going to De Post (wicked pub in Mt Eden) with some friends.
I got rung up 3 times tonight after 10pm by people, all false alarms. Or stuff that wasn't my problem. Stupid work.

Went out to Penrose today and packed it all up. No more Penrose, it's been basically shut down. All the techo stuff in the basement (read: expensive stuff) is going to be staying there, but Penrose will basically be a datacentre from now on. I don't think I'm giving away company secrets by telling you that either am I? Someone tell me if I am please. It was good to have a final catchup with all the guys from there. They're all going to be moving out to Takapuna but the good feel that the company had way back when I started has gone. In fact, it basically went as soon and I got here and has only got worse since. Maybe I'm a bad omen?

SPCA this weekend. It's been ages. The reason I didn't go last time was cause I was hungover or grumpy. Or both. Who knows...
