Yep, you guessed it!

I have my licence, and can bloody well drive a car!

It is yet to be confirmed if I can drive any other car's but I certainly can drive our family car. The foolish man who let me behind the wheel.

No Actually I am really very good. Drived to Orewa yesterday, and back. Along the motor way, and other country roads. What a hoot. Anyone with a full licence want to take me driving? Hope you don't cherrish (man can I spell that word) your life too much!!!

I am on holiday. I have 2 bloody fanflippintastic weeks off. Are you jealous? I hope so!

Tim (I nearly said Time.. hahaha) don't move to ChCh, thats just too far to go and visit! I was telling Simon that you are moving to Welly for a month or 6 and we're going to...

Alcohol is EVIL!

Submitted by KA on

I would just like to say (KA here) that alcohol is evil..the only thing worse than going out till 6am and meeting insane rugby men is doing it two nights in a row...though the second night all drinks were 2$ so really..i can't complain.

I think that Tim should move to chch instead of welly so he can train me in the ways of copious amounts of beer drinking!!

In other stuff I'm now an early childhood teacher for under 2's..what else can i say..I've had many sympathy votes over the last 2 weeks.!!!

I just would also like to point out that our national league team (WARRIORS) is going to win against all the Aussie teams AGAIN:) well we got second last year..small technical fault.

Anyway I can't compete with insane fish so until next time c u.

Max the Barra

Hi Tim (and Tim's adoring fans)... this is Tegan, Tegan Hope, your cousin...

I'm now shacked up in QLD, an hour or so from your little bruva, loving my man and the weather, hating work and consuming far too much beer! It's a pretty terrible lifestyle here.

Anyway, last night, we thought, (which was hard in itself, let alone after 9 stubbies), Max, the pet barramundi, was looking a bit peckish, cruising up and down the tank with a menacing look in his eye...

I retrieved a 'Maxy frozen dinner' consisting of two small fishies, defrosted them under a burst of warm water and headed for the tank dangling the fishy head first. Max swiftly snatched the first fishy from my fingers, circling the tank and returning for the next, (He's very smart). Before the second fish had even hit the water Max had gone the grab at the fishy...

Random Thoughts

AudioSlave are play here in Auckland next Saturday night. Not sure if I'm going to go or not yet. I really like them though, I've got their album. They're a mixture of two bands I really liked heaps in the 90s (way back then) Rage Against The Machine and SoundGarden.

I watched a movie last night called Shooters. I don't recommend watching it at all, very depressing.

The spacebar on my laptop is poked. I have just bashed it a heaps with a screwdriver and seems to have fixed it. Nolongeraremyworks allgetting stucktogether. Bonus. Who said bashing stuff doesn't work? If it's jammed, force it. If it breaks, it needed replacing anyway.

I am having a mass flat cleanup today. Throwing out all that crap I don't need. It's in preperation for moving to Wellington for 6 months. Hopefully I'll get the word tomorrow from the bossman and then the...

Own Up!

Submitted by TiM on

Who sent me the postcard that has a picture of a Nun surrounded by Chillis, and on the back is written
"Just what you are looking for TiM -
a hot Virgin -
good luck
xx"

It's from Sydney! Mother, was this you?

It's not often (ever) I get annonymous postcards suggesting I need hot nuns...
Most amusing though, whoever sent it!

What's this? An update a day after the last one? Some regularity? Scary huh?

Today's my day off, to make up for working all Sunday night. Monday was to make up for all Saturday night. I have no weekend work at all this weekend, thank fek. I've had enough of that crap.

Last night we went out to Albany to say goodbye to one of our workmates, Matt. Not the Matt I work with on a day to day basis, this is a different Matt. It was his going away party, and HE put on all the good stuff!! Huge hunks of dead cow, very tasty. More beer than we could drink (alas, how we tried) and all round a pretty good time. I got home at 8pm and I was pretty, well, happy. Thanks Matt!

I rang around today looking for quotes to move to Wellington. $1,200 to move...

Slack Slack Slack

Submitted by TiM on

Yes once again I have been slack in updating my diary and I'm sorry for that. Well, no, I'm not really. I mean to update it, I think about doing it. But then I think "stuff that, too much effort" so I don't bother. But today I'm forcing myself to write this, just so that I remember I'm still alive.

Because I forget sometimes, you see.

So a few things I've been meaning to mention but haven't:

Geroge Martin! Apparently according to my friend Chantal, this guy has also approached one of her friends with a very similar story. Won money in Australia, home for the first time in ages. This time he took the person being suckered to the Casino, where said person then lost a fair bit of money. I don't know anymore details than that, but suffice to say my reservations were well founded.

Hello dear readers, once again I'm sorry I haven't updated in a few days. If you really want to see something new on this site sometimes, you're always welcome to Submit something yourself.

My excuse for not updating is that I went out Friday night, worked Saturday night and worked Sunday night. In between that mostly I slept.

As I said, I worked both Saturday and Sunday night. Therefore I am having a day off today to make up for it, and I'll be having one off again on Friday. There was no way I was going to head into work today anyway, seeing as I didn't get home until about 6am or so. I was getting to sleep just as the sun was coming up and those farking birds were starting their happy happy chirping. Damn I wish they could keep that chirping to themselves sometimes. So they're...

I swear this just happened.

I just walked to work, as usual. I went into the fruit shop along the way (as I often do) and bought myself a bunch of bananas. I came out and crossed over the road. Looking up I saw an old Maori guy crossing the road from the side I'd been on to the side I'd just arrived on. However this guy was casually walking, even though there was a huge farking garbage truck about to hit him...

It JUST missed him and he was obviously totally obvilious, or didn't care that he'd nearly been flattened. I was trying not to stand there going "Holy Fuck Holy Fuck" but I wasn't really doing a few good job. I had just seen a man nearly squashed to bits. Anyway, he starts walking towards me and I can't help but have a big grin on my face. Oh yea I also had...

Another hell day.

They seem to be coming thick and fast these days! I really don't get a moment to myself it seems at work anymore. Which I guess is probably OK, but apart from the fact how am I actually supposed to do any of the work all the people want to see me about, if I'm spending all day seeing people? I pointed this out to someone today when he tried to heap more work on me. I told him to narf off and get someone else to do it. Just because I agree to sign off a network diagram, DOES NOT mean I agree to comission the farking thing.

I just thought I'd share that. You probably don't care. But trust me, I do.

So did anyone actually think I was for real yesterday? There were a few little jokes in the text, like "seventh day adventurist" and "no more...
