JUST when I think I'm getting better... I wake up this morning and I feel like total shit again. I HATE BEING SICK.

I would stay in bed all day, but I need to go out and get me something to eat. Sigh. At least I have a nice warm bed and some movies to watch.

I bet I'm sick because I made fun of Jesus and he's got all pissy at me. Maybe I should start making these instead?

I've just been watching the movie Dune tonight. It goes for 4 hours. I got through two chapters (I think there's three) before I gave up. Not that it's not a good movie, but it's just standard Sci-Fi stuff, pretty predictable really. Still, nothing better to do tonight while I'm still feeling off colour. Well, only a little bit, I'm pretty much back to health I think.

I have just been reading over some of my old entries in this diary thingy. I think my style of writing has changed a fair bit, as has my outlook on some things. It's been really interesting, it's been ages since I've done. I know that I'm really glad I'm keeping this thing... Pretty much anything of importance that's happened to me is written about in here somewhere (lots of it locked away) and it's been interesting to go back and read different...

Finally after day 3 I'm getting a bit better. Not 100% or anything, but not quite so sleepy all the time and I was actually hungry tonight, which is always a good sign...

This means, of course, that I didn't get a chance this week to get my drivers license, because tomorrow is a public holiday. And I need to get a fax from Australia before I can do anything here. The only place I have a fax machine is at work. Ugh!

I've changed the theme, back to the old one that I used to have. I think I like it more. If you don't, well, you can always go elsewhere and read a more sane journal. Because this one isn't.

Last night, just before I nodded off to sleep (for about the 10th time that day) I read this website. So being sick...

I haven't been sick in ages, so I guess it's only fair that this time around I get nice and crook. Really good and proper "oh-fuck-I'm-on-my-deathbed" sick. I woke up yesterday morning feeling a little funny, by the end of the day I was ratshit so I went home. Didn't sleep at all last night (couldn't breath)

I've just got home from the Dr's, she's told me that yes, I have a nasty version of the common cold. Lots of rest, lots of water, yadda yadda yadda. So here I am in bed all wrapped up nice and warm, BORED SHITLESS.

I'm also pissed off, because this means I can't sit my license test today, so I can't get a warrent of fitness for my car tomorrow, which means I can't go away this weekend. Not that I think I will be going anywhere anyway, unless I get a miracle...

Back to work tomorrow which will be a right blast. I'm trying to get to sleep at the moment and failing badly, thus why I am sitting up in bed typing this instead. Maybe I should try counting sheep? I don't think it'll work though. I think the main reason that I can't sleep is because I slept in today until 3pm. Yup. 3pm. That's got to be a record for me. Sure, I didn't go to bed until about 3am, but that's not the point. Or maybe it is. I don't know. Don't listen to me.

I can pass all the test questions in my "New Zealand Road Code" book, so hopefully I'll be able to pass the offical test. I don't think I'll be able to sit the exam tomorrow, I need to get some offical documentation from Tasmania stating the date that my current license was issued...

AudioSlave were fantastic! Very good to see them play live. I wish it'd been Rage Against The Machine, but hey, it almost was them. They played only their AudioSlave songs though, nothing from Rage Against The Machine or SoundGarden. I thought they might, but no. It made the concert a little short, because their album is only 50mins long and they only played 2 new songs.

The fact I got there at 8pm (doors opened at 7) didn't help me much either. I got there way before they started, but the only seats left were the very last ones. I mean, the fact I had to SIT DOWN sucked enough, but to be sitting up the back of the balcony really sucked quite a lot. But it wasn't that much of a problem, I could see really well and being able to hear them was never going to be a...

Well, there is one good thing about not going down to Napier, and that's that AudioSlave are playing in Auckland tonight. I'm going to turn up and see if I can get a ticket at the door.
