More Moving Crap

Submitted by TiM on

Busy day today! I moved all my accounts (that I intend to pay!) to my new address, organised the Salvation Army to come and take my stuff I don't want and rented myself a storage locker for $100 a month. All up with my rent for the room and the rent for the lockup I'll be paying $145 a week. Still much better than the $300 a week I was paying back at Gladstone, plus the power/phone bill will be much lower.

The only thing I don't like about my new place is now humid it is, I really need to get a dehumidifier in here pretty quick before my futon starts to rot away. It got a bad case of mould back when I was living with Hera, but I used to air it out all the time. I think it'll just be much easier to get a dehumidifier...

Bucks Night (and Moving Day)

Submitted by TiM on

First of all the Bucks Night though, as I think that's what most people want to know about!

In preparation for the night I'd gone out and organised a T-Shirt for Simon that read on the front "THIS IS MY LAST NIGHT OF FREEDOM" and on the back it read "SIMON GREEN - KISS ME I'M GETTING MARRIED"

I'd also bought him a lovely skirt and 2 pairs of handcuffs. The handcuffs were from The Warehouse (a cheapie store) and were ment for kids, unfortunetly this also ment they could be easily unlocked. That didn't really matter though, it was mostly the effect we were going for. We also had a list of tasks he had to complete over the duration of the night.

We started off at Simon's place at about 8:30pm, having a beer and everyone meeting everyone else. We ended up with about 8 people to start...

Sleepy

Submitted by TiM on

I got woken up for the third night in a row at about 3am to look at a "fault" that wasn't a fault at all. Suffice to say I am getting pretty pissed off with being called late at night to be asked questions that the person asking should know the answers to. I need more sleep and more coffee.

Happy Birthday Helen for yesterday!

I went over to my new house last night to give my flatmate some money and get the key off him. He seems really cool, we chatted for quite a while about various stuff, I think living there is going to be a lot of fun. He's even offered to help me move stuff next weekend which is really nice of him.

I realised the other day that I'd doubled booked myself for Simon's bucks night tomorrow night, but Matt has since agreed to do...

Blarg (aka Quick Stuff)

Submitted by TiM on

Had the day off today, after finishing work stuff at about 4am.

Woke up at 9am though, which sucked. Felt like crap but couldn't get back to sleep.

Went up to treat myself to breakfast at a nice cafe, then went shopping and found this. I know now where TClear's management are getting their ideas from.

It rained for most of today.

Packed up the flat a bit this afternoon, organised Simon's bucks night some more. No details in case he's reading. Realised that I have to work Saturday night too. Will try and get out of that.

Rang my mother, Hi Mother.

Talked to some people online for a bit, read a book, typed this shite up, went to bed.

Hard day was today...

Aliens Ransacked My Car!

Submitted by TiM on

Hello Groovers!

What an interesting day it's been today. It started at 3am when I was woken for a call about a dead device in the network. Naturally I'm the poor sap that ends up getting called, seeing as I'm the only ex-TelstraSaturn person left in Auckland. I'm glad I have my license though, I packed up my laptop (which now works all the time again, werid) and jumped in the BoD! To my joy and amasement, someone had actually ransacked it looking for money! I've never laughed so hard so early in the morning. What a desperate individual. All the dead milk cartons and empty cans of V were all over the place. I mean, you only have to look at the car to think "This dude is one flat broke momo." Obviously stupid burglers.

So still laughign I fanged into town, got a replacement part, gave the switch...

Christmas Leave

Submitted by TiM on

I just put in leave from the 22nd of December through to the 16th of January. I've put in for only 16 days leave, but with weekends and public holidays etc, it turns out that I'll be there for about a month! Plenty of time to catchup with everyone, meet the new person (Baby Miley) and spend some time in Sydney with my Mother. I can't wait!

I walked to work today, it was a nice sunny day when I first got up. It's obviously chuck-out-all-your-unwanted-crap day today, because there was shit all over the footpaths. That's not really news in itself, but what gets me are all the people out scavaging. I saw 3 people load THE most evil looking queen sized matress I've ever seen onto a shopping trolley today. You might be thinking "What's wrong with that?" Let me tell you. This mattress looked like it was...

Welcome to todays extra Intupid entry. It's brought to by the letters B E and R. This is the special "One Liners" edition too. I hope you don't think it's too Intupid. One atom bomb can ruin your whole day.

So at the moment I'm in at work because the upgrades we did last night in Wellington (which I was nothing to do with) didn't go so well. I won't post anymore information about it, but suffice to say the word "Snap!" is probably going to feature at work tomororow and not in a good way.

I got woken up at 11am and drove into work (at the least the BoD has really stopped smell as bad. Just the odd whiff now and then, not the overpowering desire to yack out the window) about 10 minutes later when I realised just how bad things were. And here I sit still...

I wanna take you to a...

I left a thing of milk in my car for 2 weeks (I forgot about it, it was in the back seat.) It decided today was a good day to start leaking a bit, after being all puffed up like one of those really-pissed-off puffer fish thingies. I tell you, I was nearly yakin' on the way home in the BoD tonight. No wonder she's rusting herself to pieces, the crap she has to put up with. I bet the wheels will all fall off tomorrow just to get back at me. She's parked out on the street at the moment with all the windows down. I know she's safe because no thief would want to steal a car smelling like that.

I walked into Takapuna today and had lunch with Yvette. She's got a job working with AC Nielson which sounds like it's pretty interesting. Give me routers and...

Beaker Is My Hero

Submitted by TiM on

I finally managed today to score a Beaker muppet from McDonalds. For those not familar with what I'm talking about, McDonalds here for the last few weeks have been selling minature lilttle muppet toys for $1.95 each. I went into today at lunchtime with Matt and brought 6 more muppets, taking my total collection of muppets up to 14. The chick behind the counter didn't look at me werid at all when I requested 6 muppets. Maybe she was sick to death of hearing about muppets? But I was really happy to get a beaker muppet.

I think that says it all doesn't it. I'm 26, and my biggest highlight of the day was to get a little $1.95 stuffed toy! Well, actually that wasn't the biggest highlight at all.

I found a new place to live today. I signed up on a site that will send you an email...

Complaints

Submitted by TiM on

I've had complaints from you mofos that my last few entries have been too boring. Well I'm so sorry. I don't know why any of you bother to read this shite at all really! What with the bad spell, worse grammer and punctuation that would have my grade 7 english teacher sobbing if she saw it, you'd be better off reading the works of some deranged nutter. Oh, wait.

So anyways, in the interests of keeping my two loyal fans I shall try and make this entry today super exciting. Before I wrote this entry though I thought I should go out and do something really cool, so that I'd have some exciting material for you all. Here's what I did, I hope you fans appreciate my dedication.

Ok, so I made that up. But I did go for a 10km run, that's exciting too, isn't it? No? Christ you...
