Ok, It's Offical, I Suck.

Yea yea, I promised I'd update and then I didn't. I'm a bad man blah blah. Instead of updating last night I went over to Simon and Hera's place to say hello. It'd been ages and it was good to see them again. Annie has grown up so much in the last year it's amazing. Last night we were talking about "Monsters Inc" the movie and she said to me in a true Kiwi accent "It's really funny, ey?" When I first moved in with Hera (about February of 2002) I used to have trouble understanding what she was saying. Now she can tell me to shut up while she's explaining something to me!

So, my weekend! Well it wasn't really all that exciting actually. I got home on Friday night and went to test my new wireless card for my laptop (because the one that's built into it had...

Country Roads - Take Me Home!

Submitted by TiM on

Last night I went to Neil's pub, because it was Karaoke night and I thought I'd go along for a laugh. In the end I picked the song "Country Roads" to sing, because it was about the only song on there I knew, with the exception of "Paradise City" by Guns and Roses. I would have sung that, but it wouldn't really have fitted in with the mood of ther other songs that were playing.

Country roads was a BAD mistake! All the other songs they'd played had been reworked to sound upbeat and funky. Not Country Roads. It was as slow and as boring as it was when it was released however many years ago. I sung for about a minute, then decided it was crap and asked them to turn it off so I could sing something else. But they didn't. Oh well. It was still quite amusing...

Souper Man

Typical Auckland, it's pissing with rain again today. Means I can't go for my lunchtime walk around the place so instead I'll write some bullshit here in the vain hope that someone, somewhere, cares. I'm joking actually, I don't give a rats arse if anyone cares, I know I sure as hell don't! I hope it's a nice weekend though, even though I have nothing planned at the moment. I'd say "going for a blast in my car" is probably on the cards.

So last night being the super amazing chef that I am, I cooked soup. This is no ordinary soup though, it wasn't just get-out-the-ol-can-of-tomato-soup-and-chuck-it-in-the-pot soup. Oh no. This was go down to the supermarket, buy corned beef, Kumuras (they're liked these munter version of potatos, but tasty), onions, golden syrup and lemons. After nearly 4 hours (2 and a half to cook the corned beef, rest to...

C4 Rules

Submitted by TiM on

TV4 has packed it in and is now a fulltime music channel called C4. Finally, some TV that's worth watching. Already tonight I have heard a band that 1) I loved and 2) I'd never heard of before. The Donnas. I'm sure they've been around for ages n stuff, I just like to live under a rock.

I vaccumed out and then washed my car tonight. I told you I was going to look after this one. I then took it for a total blast along the old Albany highway. I ended up racing a Citron or Fiat or something. Well, not really racing it, I could have flown past it, but we were just going around the signposted 60 corners at approx 120, playing with each other. Somehow I don't think the old Beastie could have kept up with that. The MR2 goes around the corners like it's on...

Lazy Bastards

Last two nights me and my flatmates have gone to Neil's pub for tea. Well, it's not strictly his pub, but he part owns it and I work with him, so I just call it his pub. They've got a really good deal, for $12 you get a large hunk of cow, 2 eggs and chips. No wonder we can't be arsed cooking!

I think tonight I'll be going out for tea too, this guy I know has just scored himself a job down in Wellington (working for Telecom, the enemy) so I'll go in and have a few send off lagers with him. Damn I'm lazy.

In other news, not much really. The poor BoD has now become the flat "bomb around in and make fun of" mobile, ie it's done more handbrake turns and wild flying tricks in the last 3 days that it would have done in...

Flashing Man

Submitted by TiM on

I would like to just say I have become the Vodafone branding removal machine. I've flashed quite a few phones for friends and workmates in the last few days.

In other news, my car has already cost me $700. But now it's got a really good alarm/immobilser system, plus a turbo timer. Joy.

That's all. Go and do something useful before I shape your eyebrows.

Log in to read about my weekend, how I nearly wrecked the MR2 before I'd bought it, just how cool the MR2 is and other exciting stuff like that.

Here's a bit about the car though:

"The car!! The car is SOO nice. It drives like a total dream. The leather seats are so super comfy, the Momo steering wheel and gear knob are really comfy. It's got a CD player which is really nice, the speakers are a little bit shagged but it's still 500 times better than the BoD. It's got so much power, just a little tap of the accelerator and you're flying past other cars with ease. If you really boot it (which I only did a couple of times when the road was dry) the turbo spools up and it shoots down the road like a rocket! I love it! The paintwork is immaculate...

Public version of STFU

I'm going down on the train tonight to buy the car tomorrow morning. Yaaa! Looking foward to that.

I think John and Gary are going to take the Beast of Death up to a beach this weekend and drive it around on the beach like mad bastards, taking some photos etc for me. I told them they have to bring it back though, I want to be the one to press the button on it at the wreckers, or something similar.

That's all you non-logged in bastards get. For more in depth policital coverage including 'Why Elvis is still alive and living in my top desk draw at work' (aka cool gossip), log in then click right here.

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Sarah who got a job with Vodafone offered to her tonight. Well done!!

I'm sitting at home on my futon, I now have a wireless thingy so my laptop doesn't have to be plugged into a cable in the lounge. Makes life much easier. My super new cable arrived from Spain today too, it can flash/fix all SonyEriccson phones, so I fixed Gary's old T68i and also flashed all the Vodafone crap off his new T610. I am going to go into business, I already know quite a few people who want their phones rid of the gay Vodafone crap, so roll up with your six packs people and I'll do it.

I cooked tea tonight. It was super tasty (as usual) it was Chicken Kebabs and carrots and brocolli in cheese sauce. I am so the man. The guys were most impressed I think. They woofed...
