Fishing Weekend

Submitted by TiM on

I'm going away fishing this weekend as I'm sure I've already told you. I've already had a few people say to me today "Oh, so Fishing is what it's called now is it?" which is of course total bollocks, I AM actually going to be going out on a boat and fishing. I'm told there's lots of snapper around this time of year so I'll try and catch one of those little bastards.

I won't be back online until Monday I guess, so until then be sure to fight amongst yourselves or go and play some games. Have a good weekend everyone!

PS: Be sure to read a letter I wrote to a close friend of mine the other day.

Hi Muppets

Nothing major to tell you about today, in fact so boring that I didn't even bother to give you an image today. I bet you're all stressing your little toes off about that aren't you?

Currently I'm doing nothing but sit on the couch and play scrabble (well, Yahoo calls it something else but it's just Scrabble) online with Sarah, she's kicking my arse. Though it let her spell "Baa" which I really don't think is a word. But then again I did pull out "Bris" and "Bi" so I guess I should probably just shutup and wear it.

Washed my poor car again this afternoon. It's amazing how quickly the dirt piles up on your car when you don't want it to. Just pulled out "corns" which can't be a word either.

I bet the Beast would have still been shiny and new if I hadn't washed it yet...

MotherFathering Power Outages!

Submitted by TiM on

I'd just written a nice long article for you all to read and boom, the power went out at work. I thought everything was ment to be backed up or something but obviously not. Everyone at work's all pissed now because we all lost work. Oh well, life goes on unless a swarm of angry wasps attacks you suddenly.

Read on for some random blabber about nothing that really matters at all, including cars, phones and after many years of searching, the meaning of life.

Firstly my damn car! I thought it was having a horrible power steering problem because of the nasty noises it's been making, but it turns out that it's the siren of the car alarm picking up static from the igition coil. This generates a really horrible evil noise but isn't actually doing anything bad. The car alarm man has heard of the problem happening before...

It's Hard Work Being This Good!

Submitted by TiM on

That's what the T-Shirt I am wearing to work says today. I almost feel sorry for the Kiwis, I've had nothing but dirty looks and mumbles about the World Cup. That article I linked to the other day (here) is so true, no one at work wants to talk about the game and everyone's saying they went to bed at half time because they didn't really care anyway. To be fair, had Australia lost I would have said exactly the same thing, but that's because I didn't really watch the game either way.

Poor Kiwis!

In other news we got our ADSL (fast internet) turned on Saturday, I have given up trying to get the TelstraClear service installed. We'd have been waiting for years. So now I can do Internet stuff from home again, woohoo. No more super crappy Vodafone GPRS. Yes I realise that's all a bit...

Poor Car (Not Mine!)

Submitted by TiM on

Hello. Nothing to report today, work was nice and easy because we just drove around most of the day in a car called a "Ka". What a joke of a car it was too, gutless as hell. We drove it around making it hit the rev limiter all the time.

Oh yes Hertz if you're reading this I am of course joking, we took very good car of the car. Lunch today was equally as difficult. Poor me. Damn glad that it's Friday!

That's all!

Expert Locksmith Man!

Submitted by TiM on

Last night after I got home I jumped on the couch to read my book that I'm currently about one tenth of the way through... then I promptly fell asleep. Why is it that reading makes you fall asleep? Once I woke up (about 10pm) I decided to at least get a small bit of exercise before I went to sleep, so I went for a 30 minutes walk around the block, doing the old powerwalking thing and probably looking like a right tool. However I usually look like a right tool so nothing unusual there.

It wasn't until I got back that my problems started...

I'd left the damn housekey on my spare car keys. Damnit! I sat outside for a while hoping that Gary/John would be home soon but after 30 minutes of sitting at the front door I got jack of that and decided to see if...

Blabber

I just washed my car... We don't have a hose here at the new place yet so it's damn hard to do with just a bucket. But it's clean now. The damn pigeons next door keep shitting on it. Most annoying.

In other news, still no joy gettnig decent internet at home. I am using GPRS over my mobile phone at the moment. Slow and sucky.

Hello to various people who I haven't seen in a while, Simon and Hera, my parents, Dallas, Rob and Denny. Hope you're all well.

Well that's enough random blabber. Go do something useful!

Matrix: Revolutions = Worst Movie Ever.

Submitted by TiM on

I went and saw Matrix: Revolutions with John last night (Vodafone had a big thing on for everyone to go see it) and I want those 120 minutes of my life back. That was the most suckhole movie I have seen in ages and of late, I've seen a fair few clangers. The most amusing bit was the deep and meaningful love scene that just dragged on and on and on and ON! After about 2 minutes I started to crack up (it was THAT stupid) then other people started to crack up. John lost it totally and was wetting himself, soon the whole movie theatre was laughing at the movie. That's how bad it was. If you're a fan or even a bit of a fan of The Matrix, don't see this movie. You'll want to stab out your eyeballs. John was going to leave halfway through but thought...

Ra Ra Ra And The Thing From Outta Space

Submitted by TiM on

Hello friendly people, hope you are all well and haven't broken any legs or anything.

I'm writing this at work today, we still have no internet access at home (Apart from via Vodafone GPRS, which is the slowest service ever to exist) and my laptop is dead anyway, so I can't post anything from home. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

It's been a good couple of days! Tuesday I had a day off to make up for all the hard work on the weekend. Mostly I just sat around, but I also went out to the credit union to beg them to give me money. Which they finally did after much pleading and boot licking. Actually it wasn't quite that bad! Now the flights home are all paid for, just have to wait until Decemeber now!

I also shuffled my room around, I am terrible and trying...

I Sold The Beast of Death!

Submitted by TiM on

Yes, the Beast of Death has been sold to the highest bidder! In this case, $30. Actually she's now going free, because the lady who bought the BoD is just going to donate it to a local school to do up. Go the BoD! I bet in a years time she'll be back to 100% looking good and worth thousands!

I'm glad it's off my hands though, I had called the wreckers but the guy who I needed to talk to hadn't been there. They sounded interested though, especially because it had a warrent of fitness and is registered.

Arrrgh, anyway, work to do! More later. We don't have any internet access at the new house yet though, so updates might be a bit sporadic this week.
