Hi everyone again

Quick update - we have been back up to Sisters Beach for a few days, and stayed the night in Devonport with Tim's Nan Harman and Auntie Liz last night.

We are going to the cricket tomorrow - Aussie vs Zimbabwe - hopefully the game lasts longer than the previous few involving Zimbabwe have! In Hobart and around for this last weekend, then flying home on Sunday night for a well deserved 2 week break!!! Well, Tim has to go to work on Monday morning, but that seems fair enough.

We are going out for dinner in a minute so I best be off - this holiday stuff is hard work!!!!

BE GOOD!!!

Hi From Taz

Submitted by Sarah on

Hi everyone!!!

Tim is geeking beside me and I'm all done (only 2 e-mails in a whole week!!!!!!!) so I thought I'd do a better update, slightly modified from the e-mail I just sent my parents.

Enjoy!

Hi from Tassie

I hear there are much goings on in New Zealand at the moment. Holly (my sister) texted and said there were heatwaves and fires and stuff down south, then we saw it on the news. The avalance also, there was a big fuss about that here because 2 guys were from Tasmania. The doctor was the town doctor in Wynyard, which is the town I flew into from Melbourne, and its also the nearest town to the place where Tims Auntie and Uncle have their shack, at Sister's Beach (a Bach is a Shack over here, very confusing).

We stayed at the shack for a few days, with lots of...

Happy New Year

Hi Everyone!

Just a quick note to let you know I'm still here and having a blast. Sarah and I have been travelling around, we've been up to Sisters Beach and then to Binalong Bay, now we're both sitting in an Internet Cafe having a bludge before we go shoe shopping.

That's it!

Yes I'm Here!!

Submitted by TiM on

Hi people! Yes I am here now in Tasmania, so updates are not going to be very regular anymore. I flew in yesterday afternoon and have been having a blast ever since.

Be sure to keep an eye on (and bookmark)this page as it'll update automatically whenever I take some photos. You can already see today that I've been visiting Rob, Denny and Miley. Miley is the happiest baby ever, Rob and I spent ages with him down at the Duck park and then back at his place singing "The Wheels On The Bus..." Also I finally meet Laree properly (Hello!!) and tonight everyone's going to Rob's Work's Christmas party. Should be lots of fun!

That's all people, hope you all have a great Christmas and New Year... Talk to you all soonish! Woo!

Nearly There!

Not long now kiddies! My room is all packed up and tidy, all my washing is done (yes, this IS an amazing feat!) and I've been out to the bank today to beg and plead with them to give me my money so I have a couple of dollars while I'm in Aussie. I'm SO looking forward to seeing everyone again!

Nothing else to tell you really, made a dick of myself outside my credit union next door. Banging and pointing and arm waving, and the people inside looking at me and waving and pointing. I was getting mad and they were getting mad. Finally I realised they were pointing right next door where they'd reopened the branch in nice flash new premises. Felt like a right dolt did I as I slunk in there, especially after I noticed the HUGE arrow on the old one pointing me next door...

Turtles

Submitted by TiM on

Next year I am going to buy some turtles. I saw some yesterday when I was in Takapuna and they rule the world. They're all cool and funky and groovy and stuff. I am going to get a little turtle tank for them and some nice rocks and some other cool stuff and I am going to have 2 cool little turtles. I haven't decided on their names yet, but Bethany and Killer sound like good names to me.

In other news I flashed 3 SonyEricsson phones today, and got a carton of beer for the first two. It's a good little business! I flash phones, people give me beer. Win win really.

2 more days of work, try as I might to not do anything (unless my boss is reading in which case DAMN I HAVE BEEN WORKING MY ARSE OFF) it hasn't worked. I've been flat out actually...

Can I Just Say...

That I'm glad it's Christmas? Everyone's in a good mood, people are trying to get last minutes rush jobs done (and I'm squeeling with glee as I tell them to bog off) and I'm going to dye my hair bright orange sometime this week before I head home. Woohoo! I'm in a good mood right at the moment.

Went for lunch with my old friend Yvette today to catchup, it's been ages since we've done lunch. I asked her "So, are you and Neil living together now?" which has to be one of the dumbest questions ever asked. Like you'd get married and stay living apart. Duh Timbo, get with it.

The company has just given us this years little Christmas present, it's a backpack that's really a portable picnic thingy. Here's a not very good picture of it. Cooler than last years attempt which was a wine cooler bag...

Holy Crapburgers

They are making a Garfield Movie. That's right, that crazy stupid cat that I used to love so much when I was little is being made into an animated movie. There's not much old smelly shite that they haven't dragged up from ages past and "reanimated" is there? I think next we'll see animated Monkey Magic. I hate movie companies for doing this sort of thing, I haven't seen one good one yet.

Enough moaning anyway, I had a great weekend down in Napier. Lots of sun and swimming and stuffing around. Really good! It's such a nice place down there too, much nicer than Auckland (though that wouldn't be hard)

Home on Saturday, woohoo!

It's Damn Hot

Submitted by TiM on

Tell you what, I wish I was at the beach at the moment, it's so feking hot here in Auckland at the moment. As usual, it's not actually so much the heat but the humidity, everything is all sticky and moist and generally unhappy. It's not a good thing! Currently the dehumidifier is sucking it's little lungies out battling %75 humitiy, somehow I don't think it's going to win though even though it's going hard out.

My last entry was about the party I went to, well not much else to say really apart from it was very cool and a LOT of fun! Hope Ericsson throw another party like that again next year and I hope I have an offical invite this time around. I walked around all night wearing the name of Inspector Someone of the NZ Police, later on that very same Inspector Someone was carted off...

Hell And Gore

Submitted by TiM on

I went to the best party last night, the Ericsson Christmas do. They had a bar made out of ice! Very trippy. Everyone had a really great time. At the start of the night they gave everyone a shot of Vodka and made us sing this crazyarse song, Hell And Gore. I'm told it's a swedish tradition. Here are the lyrics. Werid huh? That's all, must rush off to work!
