Hmmmm
They say no news is good news, but I'm not so sure!
I've tried to ring a few times but my mate Johnny is out it seems.

So sit down as you prepare to read this... I was sunny and lovely both days here in London this weekend. That's right. No rain, no clouds, no miserable crap. It was fantastic from Saturday morning right through until Sunday evening. I'm still getting over the shock.
Saturday morning we slept in until about lunchtime, I'm not so sure that I deserved to but there's no doubt that Sarah did after her first week out earning the money. We decided that we should do something with our especially because of how sunny and nice it was.
I booked us on the London Eye, we'd heard how bad the queues were to get tickets etc so I though that booking us in on the good ol' Internet might be the way to go. That being done, we left the house and jumped on a tube towards town.
We got off...
So I have a job interview on Monday, 9am sharp! I'm a little worried about how to get there, so I'm going to do a dry run today to see how long it takes me. Even with online Journal planners and the like, I'd rather not find out on Monday that the bus takes twice as long as the website says it will.
Company that the interview is with sounds really interesting, I'm told the interview style is "Here's a whiteboard, tell us what you know about X" where X is something listed on my CV. It's all technical though, so it shouldn't be too much of a challenge. Assuming I still remember everything on my CV!

I attempted to cook blackberry pie last night. It didn't really go that badly, except that the pie ended up being a little more like soup than it did a pie. It was still really tasty and I had 3 helpings, so it wasn't a complete failure. Plus it looked really nice when it came out of the oven, thanks again to Andy's fantastic help and tips as we were making it.
Friday night Sarah and I took Anna and Mattie out for dinner and a movie, just as something nice to do plus Sarah and I haven't seen a movie in about 4 months! We had dinner at a place called GBK which stands for Gourmet Burger Kitchen. Gourmet they were too, standing about 6 inches high when delivered to us and extremely tasty and juicy. Then we went to see "The Simpsons" Movie which I was a little...
(Please forgive all zbelling, grammer and other errors, this was all typed on my phone's tiny keyboard)
We've had a busy and fun week! It's Sarah's last week of freedom, she starts her job on Monday. I am still jobless, having declined the one I was offered because it was just too far to travel each day.
We got back from Yorkshire Monday afternoon after one hell of a long drive, heaps of traffic and lots and lots of rain. We were a little worried Sunday morning that we wouldn't be returning at all. Andy, Maggie and I went to the supermarket but didn't makeit very far because the car started to make some nasty clunking noises. The car callout people came to have a look and said it was just the dingus had worked itself loose, he tightened the whatsit and it was fixed.
Once we'd made it back...
I had a beer at "probably" the oldest pub in Yorkshire last night. Very quaint little pub, good beer. Some crappy taken-with-phone images attached.

Hello from Haworth, the home of the Bronte sisters whom I've never heard of but believe are quite famous for writing a few books.
Last night we went out for dinner with Sarah's Auntie Lynn and Uncle Brendan, for Ruth, their daughter's birthday. Ruth came and stayed with Sarah and I back in Auckland last year. We had a really nice dinner at a flash resturant, a set 3 course meal for £18 each. We have to stop converting back to New Zealand dollars. It was a lovely night, I tried some beers off their exotic list and the food really was tasty.
This morning we all got up late and pottered around for a few hours before deciding we should really do something with the day, though it was raining and miserable again. We ended up here at Hawarth, looking through all the little tourist shops before heading down...
Even better! Sarah just got off the phone from the people she interviewed with yesterday and the job is hers! It's an excellent position with a fantastic company. We rule!!

Hello from the back of the car, we're travelling up to Halifax as I type this. It's a fairly typical summer's day, it wet, overcast and miserable.
Last night with stayed with friends of Andy and Maggies, Simon and Tina. They have a lovely house in Stanford. We went to the pub last night and it was another lovely quaint place, all the locals there for a pint or two, ever friendly and polite. I had a pint of "Silly Mid Whippet", the picture on the handle was a whippet playing a cricket shot.
Simon and Tina are lovely people, Simon took us all for a walk this morning, along with their cute little dog Frodo. It was a great nature walk, we saw Emu's and ducks, a dead floating watervole that swans were pecking at.
We're currently driving past all the old english stone fences, it reminds me also...
My SIM card actually arrived today, even though when I rang T-Mobile they said it would take up to another 6 days. We have a mobile phone now! We're not "special people" anymore.
