AC/DC Yea!

Submitted by TiM on

So we're off to France tomorrow blah blah boring because bugger that, we've got tickets to see AC/DC Live In London! How cool is that? Very cool is the correct answer. I've always wanted to see them, I never have, so in a few weeks time I can die a happy man because I saw AC/DC. I already know their new album back to front, I've been listening to it for the last ages.
Sarah found some tickets on Gumtree and we're off! AC/DC yea!

Also, we're off to France tomorrow. But there's no AC/DC there, so it won't be as fun.

Sushi

Submitted by TiM on

We've just got back from having Sushi with Darius up at Sushi Hiro. It's one of the best Sushi places in London apparently. I'm not sure that it was, but then I don't know good Sushi from bad. It was a lot tastier than the usual sushi that I get from Pret most days. We had a few strange things, including one that was supposed to be a scallop but instead was the chewiest, oddest thing ever. It probably was a scallop, but it was hard to tell. And swallow.

We did a bit of shopping today at the Westfield Mall. It's just like being back in Auckland, normal shops laid out in a normal fashion. Makes you miss home really. We got a few more bits and bobs ready for our big trip! Not long now.

Then it's back to work tomorrow, fun fun! Otherwise not much else to...

Still Here!

Submitted by TiM on

Hi Diary!
We're still here. It's Thursday now, the week has flown past after a long weekend. A long weekend where thankfully there was a lot of sun. Sarah even got a little bit brown it was such a nice weekend here. It was like being back in Australia/New Zealand, except that all the English people have to take their shirt off over 15 degrees.

I shouldn't say that though, I bet all the people from the Middle East all laugh at us in Australia when we all take our shirts off when it reaches 30 degrees.

The days are counting down!

That's all dear diary. Sorry I'm so slack at updating you these days.

Hello

Submitted by TiM on

I just discovered, on my way to pickup some shoes for Sarah, the original "Costa Coffee". At least the guy behind the counter claims his store is the original one and that the others are now owned by a seperate company nothing to do with him. He's pretty proud of his coffee anyway. I've got one sitting here on my desk, haven't tried it yet though.

It's been a while since the last update, even longer if you haven't logged in! There hasn't been a real lot happening to write about though, thus my lack of motivation to update. I've been sick with Yellow Fever the last few days! Well OK, not Yellow Fever, that would be rather extreme. Thankfully it was only me that got sick, Sarah's been fine.

I love stringing Telemarkers along. I was working from home yesterday and the phone rang and it was someone telling...

Cardiff Castle

Submitted by TiM on

Hello again from Cardiff. We went to visit the Castle this morning, here's one photo and here's another.

We've just got back from the Hotel Spa, quite a boring one really. We're still spoilt from the amazing one we went to in Bath! We're about to head down to Cardiff Bay, it's quite a nice day today and we're told there's lots of nice places to eat down there.

Hello From Wales!

Submitted by TiM on

Hello from Wales. Sarah and I met up at Paddington station at 7pm, it was nuts how many people there were everywhere. It's a long weekend, so everyone is going away somewhere. When we got on the train, people were going nuts trying to get seats. Hello, morons. Every seat had a "reserved" sign on it. I'm amazed people weren't in ours! We'd been smart and booked ours about 3 weeks earlier.

Train was fairly uneventful, so here we are in Cardiff, Wales. We're going to just have a nice relaxing weekend and take it easy. Yeeha!

Chiswick on a Sunny Sunday

Submitted by TiM on

Finally we get a lovely, sunny weekend here in London town. Sarah and I have just got back from a lovely late breakfast down in Chiswick, for the first time in ages that I can recall we sat outside and enjoyed a bit of sun peaking through the clouds. We had a really nice breakfast too, little snacky things followed by a pork sandwich. Yummo.

Sarah is recovering from burning herself quite badly on Thursday night. I got a text from her while I was on the way home saying "I burnt my finger" and when I got home I could see just how bad it was. She'd put it under the running water straight away after doing it and kept it very cool, so it looked alright. We rang the ever-helpful NHS helpline and they said we should got to the walk in centre to get them to look...

Basingstoke

Submitted by TiM on

Hello once again from the Acton Town tube station. It's a lovely sunny morning as I line up with 100 people to get the train to work. I hate going to work on sunny days, it seems such a waste. However I also hate going to work on rainy days, so I think it's more about going to work than it is about the weather. I'm jealous of the guy at work who just got back from 3 weeks in New Zealand. He said that it was lovely the whole time, sunny and there were lots of Summer Ales to be had. I'd asked him to bring me back some, but he claimed he'd drunk them all.

We hired a car on Saturday and drove South West out of London to Basingstoke. It's so nice to have a car to drive, you really don't realise how much you miss having...
